Cookie Statement
The three functional cookies we set, what each one does, and why you won't see a cookie banner here.
1. The short version
PingStuff sets three cookies, all strictly functional — they exist only to keep you signed in and make the product work. We set no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies of any kind. Our product analytics runs server-side and puts nothing in your browser (see the Privacy Policy for how that data is redacted).
2. The cookies we set

Report unlock cookie (names starting with ps_r_) | Set only if you enter the correct passcode on a passcode-protected shared report, so you don’t have to retype it on every page load. It contains a server-verifiable proof, never the passcode itself, and is scoped to that one report’s address — it is not sent anywhere else on the site. | 12 hours. |
That’s the complete list. If you never sign in, sign up, or unlock a protected report, we set nothing at all.
3. Why there’s no cookie banner
Cookie banners exist to ask your permission for non-essential cookies — tracking, advertising, third-party analytics. We don’t set any of those, so there is nothing to ask permission for. Cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you asked for (like staying signed in) don’t require a consent banner.
4. If this ever changes
If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie, this page will be updated first, the date at the top will change, and we will add whatever consent mechanism the new cookie requires before it is set.
