Who it is for
PingStuff is built for small-business owners, solo developers and agencies looking after client sites — and for the person whose website is down right now and just needs a straight answer. It is deliberately not another enterprise monitoring console. If you do not know what DNS is, the report still makes sense; if you do, the technical detail is one tap away.
What we believe
A monitoring tool should lead with a human explanation, not a wall of status codes. It should reach you where you actually are — your phone — instead of assuming you are watching a dashboard. And it should be honest about what it can and cannot see, rather than promising the impossible. Those three ideas shape every part of PingStuff.
How we check, honestly
PingStuff checks your site over http and https — the same way a browser reaches it — from our own servers, outside your network. That is an HTTP-layer check, not a low-level ICMP ping, and it can only see what is reachable from the public internet. It is the right test for “can my visitors load this?” Confirming an outage from several regions at once is rolling out. We do not make uptime guarantees, and we tell you when a result is uncertain rather than fake a verdict.
